ICT in education

Introduction
The use of information and communication technology to assist, enhance, and optimize the transmission of information is known as information and communication technology (ICT) in education. ICT has been demonstrated in studies throughout the world to increase student learning and teaching techniques. Bringing ICT into education is the response to the question, "How can we expand our institution's reach to a wider number of students?"

New in ICT
As a type of e-learning, mobile learning (m-learning) is a growing trend in which education has transcended the physical restrictions of classrooms and gained mobility(Georgiev, T., Georgieva, E., & Smrikarov, A. 2004, June). Students have access to information at any time and from any location, and the number of institutions that provide such advanced technical terrains is growing by the day. Using technology in education and allowing ICT in education produces an easy-to-manage learning environment where information transmission is more smoother and learning is much easier.
Importance of ICT for students
Students need the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make ICT work for them at school, at home, at work, and in their communities now and in the future in order to participate in a knowledge-based economy and to be empowered within a technologically advanced society. Information and communication technologies are quick and automated, interactive and multi modal, and they enable the rapid conveyance and representation of information to a wide range of audiences, as well as its adaptability to various settings. They change the way kids learn and think, giving them more control over how, where, and when they study(Tinio, V. L. (2003). ICT in Education).
